Dexter & Algelene Young |
Another of the five houses built on Blake Road in 1930 and 1931 by the architect/builder team of Royal Barry Wills and Maurice Dunlavy, #72 was the home of Dexter and Algelene Young and their daughter Barbara. Dexter Young was president of John D. Young & Son, a shoe company founded by his father and grandfather in 1886. The family lived here until 1958 or 1959. Dexter Young died in 1971.
