Another of the many Maurice Dunlavy/Royal Barry Wills houses in Blake Park, 61 Blake Road was the home at first of Adelaide and Harry N. Squires, previously renting on St. Paul Street.
Harry Squires was active in real estate in Brookline and, in fact, played a part in the transactions transferring ownership of the Blake Park properties to the Interurban Estates after the collapse of the Inter-City Trust. The Squires were listed at this address in the Street List from 1933 to 1940.
The next owners of this house were David and Rose Waxler, who were listed here from 1941 to 1964. They lived in Boston prior to moving to Blake Road. David, who was born in Russia, was an automobile salesman.
